KS4 Media work

I Have the Right – in 2012 we got involved in looking at anti-abuse in relationships working with Wearside Women in Need, Gentoo and the City Council (we showcased in 2012 at the university cinema and this is still ongoing – a work pack is being delivered in schools and supported on local police website E-Beat - see link to view film and resources below:

Rules of Horror – Halloween Festival at Tyneside Cinema (2012) filmed by ex-student Sarah Barton and friends; showcased on the big screen at Tyneside Cinema.

WW1 Film Projecta group of 10 students from Y10 scripted and filmed in remembrance of the WW1 centenary.  They worked with local educational film company Act2Cam i 2014.

COMPETITIONS AND ACTIVITY DAYS


A dinosaur ate my homework- is a 2013 animation, it is a winner of CITV's share a story competition, it was created by a student called Molly McKeown when she was in Y7.  Here are some of the sketches done for Molly's animation at the CITV studios and also the finished film.



Anti-bullying animations- run by the city council, here is the 2014 local winner created by members of the A-Team (anti-bullying team.) Students were invited to Civic Centre for an afternoon presentation.


Here is another of the entries that we thought was particularly good:

RTS Entry- is a short animation from 2014, it is called What shall we do today? The four Year 8 girls that were involved were invited to the David Putnam Centre and their work was showcased on the big screen.


Summer Animations- 2014, just a bit of fun on an animation activity day in July.
